India today successfully tested the land-attack version of its supersonic cruise missile BrahMos Supersonic Cruise Missile. According to news agency ANI, the Indian Army has tested this cruise missile from Andaman and Nicobar Islands at 10:30 am on Tuesday. The BrahMos missile was targeted at another island present there. The army consists of several regiments of missile systems developed by DRDO.
This week BrahMos missile is going to have several operation tests. Under the tension with the border with China, these tests will try to show how accurately the missile can hit the target. This missile is made by coming with defense institutes of Russia and India.
BrahMos, one of the most dangerous missiles of the 21st century, can fly at a maximum speed of 3.5 i.e. 4,300 km per hour. Among BrahMos, Brah means ‘Brahmaputra’ and Mos means ‘Muskwa’. That is, the name of this missile has been made by combining the names of each river of the two countries.
