ACC Exam Syllabus 2021 : In this blog. we are going to discuss one of the prestigious defence training institutions – ACC (Army Cadet College). Army Cadet College is located in the IMA premises in Dehradun. ACC is an entry for commissioned rank for those enlisted soldiers (non-officers) who aspire to become officers. In ACC entry Civilians cannot apply. Only Soldiers of the Army and Airforce can apply for it. Navy soldiers have a different scheme just for them; it is called as the CW i.e. Commission Worthy entry.

ACC Selection Process
The selection process of ACC is quite similar to NDA or CDS exam. A written exam, known as Army Cadet College Exam is held amongst the enlisted soldiers for the selection. The final selection of the candidates is done by SSB Board by conducting SSB interview, which is attended only by those who qualify for the written exam. After the candidates go for the Medical Test only then they are termed qualified.

ACC Syllabus (In Detail)
PAPER –I: GENERAL MENTAL ABILITY TEST
General Mental Ability test i.e. GMAT paper will be aimed at testing the candidate’s intellectual ability. This paper has two types of questions – Argument and Data Sufficiency.
There will be 150 objective-type questions of 2 marks each. The paper consists of three sections:
1. Reasoning Ability (Verbal): 75 questions: 150 Marks
2. Non – verbal Reasoning: 15 questions: 30 Marks
3. Numerical Ability: 60 questions: 120 Marks
PAPER – II: CURRENT GENERAL AWARENESS
This is for testing the candidate’s General Awareness knowledge. The syllabus designed to include tests of mental ability, current general situational and military awareness. It consists of 150 objective-type questions of 2 marks each.

PAPER – III: INTERACTIVE COMMUNICATIVE ENGLISH.
There will be two papers for Interactive Communicative English.
Part I will consist of 120 objective type questions of 1 mark each in 1-hour duration.
Part II will consist of descriptive type questions of 180 marks in a duration of 2 hours.

PAPER –IV: ACADEMIC CONTENT TEST
There will be only one paper covering Mathematics, General Science and Humanities. It includes 150 objective type questions of 3 marks each. It is divided as follows:
1. Section A: Mathematics: 50 Questions: 100 Marks
2. Section B: General Science: 50 Questions: 100 Marks
3. Section C: Humanities: 50 Questions: 100 Marks
