Being a B.Com graduate is no constraint for those aspiring to become a part of defence services. Today, we are going to discuss five options that are available to B.Com graduates. Let’s start, here are the options for those aspiring to join defence services!
- The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) holds UPSC CDS (Combined Defence Service) exam twice a year to zero in on candidates for the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Air Force (IAF), Officer’s Training Academy (OTA) and Indian Naval Academy (INA). B.Com graduates are eligible to apply for positions at IMA (Indian Military Academy) and OTA (Officers’ Training Academy) as permanent commission and short service commission respectively. The training period for IMA & OTA is 18 months and 49 weeks respectively. B.Com aspirants who qualify the written examination will appear for the next stage of selection procedure i.e. SSB, which involves personality test & interview for intelligence. The basic pay of a UPSC CDS Officer varies from Rs. 39,100 per month to Rs. 90,000 per month.
