As you all know the notification for NDA 1 2020 is soon going to be released by UPSC. NDA examination is held twice a year & the upcoming examination will be the first NDA exam of the year that is estimated to be held on first or second week of April.
Student those are going to give the NDA exam for the first time might be unaware of the pattern for the examination. So in this article we are going to provide you complete exam pattern of NDA examination for the year 2020.
The examination for NDA is done is offline i.e. pen paper mode. It is an objective type exam which consists of two papers.

The medium of both the papers are bilingual. There is also provision for negative marking. The standard of the NDA paper is of class 12th and mostly CBSE based.

- Paper –II i.e. GAT is divided is two parts – Parts A and Part B.
- Part A is of English
- Part B consists various sections i.e. General Knowledge, General Science and Current Affairs.
- G.K section comprises of Geography, History and Polity.
- G.S section contains Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- The paper also contains miscellaneous questions of Defence, Economics and Current Affairs.
After qualifying the written examination the candidates become eligible to go for SSB interview. SSB interview carries 900 marks.
The merit list for selection is made based on the marks of both NDA written exam and SSB interview.
