Importance of Handwriting in SSB Interview: Services Selection Board also known as SSB Interviews is a 5 days procedure to Check The Candidate Based on Officer Like Qualities. In all there are 15 Officer Like Qualities which are being Checked On.The Assessors who are Responsible to Take The SSB Interview are :-
1.Group Testing Officer
2.Psychologist
3.Interviewing Officer
5 Day SSB Procedure is divided into 2 Stages:-
Stage 1-Also Known as Screening and it is a Single Day Procedure.It Comprises of two Tests:-
1.Officer Intelligence Rating Test
2.Picture Perception and Discussion Test
Importance Of Handwriting in SSB :-
Handwriting plays a crucial role in SSB Interviews because of 3 Primary Reasons:-
1.During Stage 1 Testing 70% Of The Candidates Fail to Clear this Screening Testing and only 30% make it to Stage 2.One of the major reasons for not making till Stage 2 is Handwriting.Actually During PPDT Process Candidates are Supposed to See a Picture and Write a Story based on their Perceptions.These Stories are Read by Psychologist ,GTO and Interviewing Officer and thus frame an opinion about the Candidate .Handwriting Plays a Crucial Role to have an understanding about the Personality of The Candidate Thus Handwriting plays a crucial role in Screening Test of SSB Interviews.
2.Once The Candidate goes into Stage 2 he is subjected to a Testknown as Psychological Test.In Psychological Test,a Psychologist briefs the Candidates about the Test Procedures of TAT,WAT,SRT and SDT.In all these Test Answer sheets will be Provided and Candidates will have toWrite a Story(TAT),Write a Sentence(WAT),Write about Reactions in SRT and About themselves in Self Description Test.Thus a Psychological Test is all about Written Work.Its based on the Written Work of the Candidatesthat the Psychologist analyses them.Psychologist Checks The OLQ on basis of their Written Material thus On basis of their Handwriting -Psychologist check the Performance of the Candidates
3.Once the Candidate Enters into Stage 2 he/she is supposed to Fill up a PIQ Form also known as Personal Information Questionnaire.PIQ Form is a summarized History of Your own Self.Its a Smaller Version of Your Own Self.Again In PIQ Form It is Expected that Candidates will write in Nice and Clear Handwriting.If the Interviewing Officer is not able to read about the Candidate,there are quite a chance that Interviewing Officer will get irritated
