There is now a declining trend in new recruitment of terrorists in Kashmir due to the killing of terrorists from targeted operations of the Indian Army and the opportunity to surrender to terrorists during the encounter. The security forces consider it positive. But it is also believed that this has shocked Pakistan and it is adopting new tricks to mislead the youth.
Sources associated with security forces said that there has been an increase in the recruitment of terrorists in Kashmir this time as compared to last year. It was feared that it could break the record of 2018 when 214 young terrorists were formed. But during the last two months, the targeted operations of the army have largely eliminated the terrorists and during the encounter gave an opportunity to surrender the nine newly recruited terrorists.
Army sources said that against the expectation during the lockdown in March last, large number of local youths were recruited in Kashmir. But there is a downward trend after August. As of mid-October, a total of 131 local youths chose the path of terror. But so far 189 terrorists have been killed in the state. Most of them were local terrorists and who were recruited within three to six months.
Security forces say that Pakistan has been buoyed by the declining trend in the recruitment of terrorists. He is taking many tricks. Like firing on innocent people. Infiltration of foreign terrorists, threatening youth through terrorists operating in the valley, inciting youth through mosques etc. There are also reports that plans are being made to revive some dormant terrorist organizations. The aim is to introduce a new way of misleading the youth.
