Pakistan Denies Jaish-e-Mohammed’s conspiracy to commit terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir

Pakistan on Saturday summoned the Indian High Commission in-charge and rejected India’s claim that the Pakistani terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammad was plotting attacks there before the local elections in Jammu and Kashmir. Hours earlier, India had summoned the charge of the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi and said that Pakistan should abandon its policy of supporting terrorists and terrorist groups operating from its territory and for attacks in other countries. Terrorist structures designed by terrorist organizations should be destroyed.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry in a statement dismissed the allegation and hoped that India would refrain from making any “misleading” statement. Earlier in Delhi, the Foreign Ministry, referring to the Nagrota incident, told a senior Pakistani diplomat that large quantities of weapons, ammunition and explosives were seized, destabilizing peace and security in the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, especially An elaborate plot of a major attack is indicated to disrupt the exercise of local District Development Council elections.

Security forces killed four suspected Jaish-e-Mohammed militants hiding in a truck in Nagrota on Thursday morning. The Foreign Ministry said, “Indian security forces foiled the plot of a major terrorist attack on November 19 in Nagrota, Jammu and Kashmir.” Initial reports indicated that the attackers may be members of the Jaish-e-Mohammed Pakistan organization. The organization has been declared a terrorist organization by the United Nations and several countries.

He said that serious concern was also expressed about Jaish’s frequent terrorist attacks against India. The Foreign Ministry said that this terrorist group has been involved in several attacks in India in the past, including the Pulwama attack in February 2019. The Foreign Ministry said that India reiterated its demand that Pakistan abide by its international commitment and bilateral commitment to not allow the territory under its control to be used for terrorism against India in any way.
