Indian Navy ship INS Kiltan will join the exercise in the South China Sea from 26 to 27 December with the Navy of Vietnam. According to the statement issued by the Ministry of Defense, the warship arrived in flood-hit central Vietnam on Thursday carrying 15 tons of disaster relief material.
The ship arrived at Naha Rahang Port in Ho China Minh City, Vietnam. More than 230 people have died in central Vietnam due to the severe floods in October-November. The ship will be involved in the exercise after taking off the relief material.
According to the ministry, INS Kiltan is on an expedition under Mission Sagar-3, providing humanitarian aid and disaster relief to friendly countries during the Corona epidemic. The Indian Navy has been providing security support to its partner countries under Mission Sagar.
