Indian Navy made a major war practice demonstration where it destroyed a ship with an anti-ship missile to show the preparedness of Navy in India’s strategic maritime zone. The missile was ‘highly accurate’ in this exercise conducted in the Arabian Sea. The Indian Navy released a video of it on Friday.
During an extensive naval exercise involving aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya and several warships, combat helicopters, aircraft and other naval equipment, the missile was fired from ‘frontline corvette INS Prabal.

An Indian Navy spokesman tweeted that the missile hit its target (on an older ship) with its maximum range of accuracy. He said that this anti-missile missile fired by the Indian Navy’s ‘Frontline Corvette INS Prabal’ hit the target with precision with maximum range.”
Indian Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh on Thursday addressed select officers of the Navy’s ‘Career Battle Group’ through a telecast from INS Vikramaditya and reviewed the force’s combat preparedness. Officials said Admiral Singh, in his address, had praised the force for keeping combat preparedness at bay during the last few months.
