On 13 May 2021, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Modi has given its approval for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Qatar Financial Center Authority (QFCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
This signed MoU will benefit the Qatar Financial Center Authority and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
The Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has a strong membership base of over 6000 members in Qatar (Doha) and the Middle East Chapter and is one of the most vibrant chapters of the ICAI.
Members of ICAI hold key positions in various public and private companies. He is also actively involved in supporting and developing the accounting profession in Qatar.
This MoU, signed between the two countries, will enhance cooperation between these institutions to strengthen the accounting profession and entrepreneurial base in Qatar.
