Bangladesh Foreign Minister, Dr. A.K. Abdul Moman has informed that the ‘Swadhinta Sadak’ between Bangladesh and India will be launched on 26 March 2021. He also said that, this road is operated in India, while it will go through Meherpur, Mujibnagar district to Bangladesh.
While informing about this ”Swadhinta Sadak’, the Foreign Minister also mentioned that, there were historical relations between these two countries and these relations have stood the test of time. He has also called this current chapter between India and Bangladesh a ‘Golden Chapter’.
Dr. Moman further said that, through discussions and dialogues, both countries have succeeded in setting an example by resolving important issues such as their maritime boundaries and land border agreements (LBAs).
Giving details about the agenda during the upcoming summit to be held on December 17, 2020 between Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh Foreign Minister stated that, among other key issues, the two neighboring countries The month of victory will also be discussed between the two leaders of the US because the Bangladesh Liberation Campaign was a great victory for Bangladesh as well as India.
Giving further information, the Bangladesh Foreign Minister also said that the Chilhati-Haldirbari rail link will also be inaugurated during the virtual summit between the Prime Ministers of India and Bangladesh on 17 December. This rail link was active till the year 1965.
