Indian Airforce conducts examination for the recruitment of Airmen (Technical and Non-Technical) twice a year. Indian Air Force Airmen Selection has released the official notification for X/Y group examination for 01/2020 batch on 11th December 2019.
The details of the examination are given below:
- Students will be able to fill the application through Online mode only.

IMPORTANT DATES:
Notification Issued on: 11th December 2019
Application will Begin on: 02nd January 2020
Last Date to Apply Online: 20th January 2020
Exam will Held on : 19th -23rd March 2020
Admit Card Available: in March 2020
Date for results and Phase II examination will be notified soon.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Age – For Both X Group & Y Group Exam: between 17/01/2000 to 30/12/2003 i.e.
( 17yrs- 20 yrs)
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :
For X group –10+2 Exam Passed with Math, Physics and English Subject with Minimum 50% Marks OR Passed Three Year Polytechnic Diploma with 50% Marks
For Y group – 10+2 Exam Passed (any stream) with 50% Marks, English 50% Marks OR 2 Year Vocation Course with 50% Marks.
PHYSICAL ELIGIBILITY:
Height – 152.5 CMS
Chest – Minimum Expand: 5 CMS
Weight – 55 KG (Minimum)

Those who qualify the online examination will further go for phase-II of the examination. Qualfying students can download the admit card for Phase-II from the official website of Indian Air Force i.e CASB or www.airmenselection.cdac.in
Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
1.6 Km running within 06 minutes 30 seconds
10 Push-ups
10 sit-ups
20 squats
Adaptability Test (1) & (2) : Adaptability test (1) is nothing but a bunch of questions based on different situations. Generally there will be 45 questions needed to be answered in 30 minutes. Adaptability test (2) will consist a GD i.e. Group discussion session.
Medical Examination: Medical Examination shall be conducted by the Indian Air Force Medical Team after they qualify the test mentioned above.
Blood Haemogram – Hb, TLC, DLC
(b) Urine RE/ME
(c) Biochemistry :- (i) Blood Sugar Fasting & PP (ii) Serum Cholesterol (iii) Urea, Uric acid, Creatinine (iv) LFT—Serum Bilurubin, SGOT, SGPT
(d) X- Ray chest (PA view)
(e) ECG (R)
(f) Tests for Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substance Abuse.
(g) Any other test necessary in the opinion of the Medical Officer
All India Merit List: Those who qualify all the above mentioned examination successfully will be chosen finally on the basis of their merit in All India Merit List published by Indian Air For.
