The US has banned Turkey from buying the S-400 missile defense system. Along with this, the US has also warned those countries that are willing to buy the S-400 missile defense system.
The US has banned Turkey’s defense industries and three other officials, including its president, for purchasing the S-400 missile system from Russia. The US Ministry of Finance issued a statement sharing this information.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that the United States has imposed sanctions on Turkey for the purchase of the Russian S-400 surface-to-air missile system. He further said that Turkey has broken the rules, due to which we are forced to ban.
The US has said that Turkey has broken the rules by purchasing the S-400 missile defense system from Russia. After this it was decided to ban Turkey. Turkey’s defense industry is going to suffer a lot due to these sanctions by the US. The US has taken this action to buy Russian missile system by Turkey. Turkey purchased the S-400 missile system from Russia in 2019.
