The tension between India and China (India-China Conflict) continuing on the border is not over. Meanwhile, Naval Chief Admiral Karambir Singh has said to give a befitting reply to China. During a program, Karambir Singh spoke on several plans of the army and the ongoing situation on the border. The special thing is that a few days ago the report of the American Commission revealed that China had a hand in the skirmish between the army in Galwan. In this skirmish, 20 Indian soldiers were martyred.
Naval Chief Admiral Karambir Singh said, “We have a double challenge of efforts to change Covid-19 and China’s LAC. Navy is ready to face these challenges. He said, “If there is a violation from China, then we have SOP ready to deal with the situation.” Apart from this, Singh also discussed preparations amidst the ongoing tension on the border.
The Navy informed the chief, ‘According to the needs of the Indian Army and Indian Airforce, we have deployed P-8I aircraft at many places. Apart from this, we have also released heron surveillance drones in the northern border areas. He told that so far China has three warships in the Indian Ocean. He said, “China has retained three ships since 2008 for anti-piracy patrols”.
Karambir Singh said, “The Indian Navy is procuring Smash-2000 rifles as anti-drone equipment to counter attacks from drones.” He said, ‘We are very clear on this that there is a need for airpower in the sea. If you are a nation that wants to become a 5 trillion dollar economy and does not want to be limited on the shores. The Navy Chief said, “Airplane carriers are very important.”
He also talked about the need for drones for the three armies. Karambir Singh said that ’30 Predator drones are being acquired for all three services’. They told that these drones will have a lot of capability. He said, ‘2 Predator drones have been leased, so that our monitoring capability can be reduced. He said that 24-hour monitoring capability is helping a lot in maintaining our surveillance capacity. If the Army and Air Force need these in the North East, then we can consider.
Recently, the Navy decided to deploy Marcos in the Pangong Lake area in Ladakh. The purpose of this deployment was to increase unity between the three armies and to prepare for inclement weather.
