After the Nagrota encounter in Jammu and Kashmir, security forces are insisting on installing full-body truck scanners to thwart the conspiracy hatched by Pakistan. Security forces say truck scanners are needed at many check posts in Jammu and Kashmir to prevent cases like Nagrota in the future so that no terrorist can hide in trucks.
Government sources said, “The terrorists were hiding in trucks filled with apples. If the Jammu and Kashmir police knew about them, they could have been found and killed earlier. ”He said that during the apple season, trucks loaded with apples in the Kashmir Valley go to other and neighbouring states. These trucks are also sometimes used by terrorists to hide.
Sources said that the checking of some trucks is done by unloading the apples, but in the absence of full-body truck scanning machines, all the trucks cannot be checked. He further said that with the help of these machines, trucks can be checked without affecting the traffic. This will also reduce security risks.
According to sources, the state government and the central government have been made aware of the situation and efforts are being made to obtain these scanners. In the Nagrota incident, four militants from the Samba sector penetrated into Indian territory and then used a truck.
The truck was on its way towards the Kashmir Valley when it was stopped by security forces near the Ban Toll Plaza near Nagrota and all militants were killed. The terrorists belonging to the terrorist group of Jaish-e-Mohammed of Pakistan were in constant contact with Abdul Rauf Asghar, brother of Jaish chief Maulana Masood Azhar.
