Difference between AFCAT and EKT
Many Graduates Get Confused between AFCAT and EKT. In this Blog we will try and Cover all the basic differences between AFCAT and EKT.
Branches
AFCAT is commonly known as Air Force Common Admission Test vis a vis EKT is Known as Engineering Knowledge Test. Through AFCAT a Candidate can get Following Branches:-
1.Flying Branch
2.Ground Duty Technical
3.Ground Duty Non Technical
while EKT is only For Ground Duty Technical Branch
Exam Schedule
Both these Exams are Conducted on Same Day .There is no Separate Form for EKT. After AFCAT Exam is Conducted which is of 2 hrs there is a break of 1 hr and EKT is Conducted.
Exam Pattern
AFCAT Exam consists of :
1;GK
2.Reasoning and Military Aptitude
3.Numerical Ability
4.Eng
300 Marks will be there for 100 Questions .Marking Scheme is +3 and -1 which means negative marking is there.
while EKT Consists of 50 Questions of 150 Marks. Time Dedicated for EKT is 45 mins Only.+3 and -1 Marking Scheme is applicable for EKT Also
In what All Scenarios Will a Candidate Get Call For SSB Interviews
Case1– Supposing You Clear AFCAT Written Exam You are ELigible For SSB Interviews and if Selected you will be Offered Flying Branch,Ground Duty Non Technical Branch
Case 2- Supposing You Clear Both AFCAT and EKT You are ELigible For SSB Interviews and if you get Recommended You will be Offered Flying,Technical,Non Technical Branch
Case 3- Supposing You Clear EKT but Fail AFCAT Exam in Such a Scenario You will not be Called For SSB Interviews
Who are Eligible For EKT
Graduates With B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science and Mechanical and Correspondent Branches are all Allowed in AFCAT.
EKT Exam Pattern
EKT Exam Consists of 50 Questions with +3 and -1 Marking scheme. The Exam will have to be completed in 45 mins
