Asia Youth Para Games 2021 : Indian Para Shuttlers Win 16 Medals

Asia Youth Para Games 2021 : Tokyo Paralympians Palak Kohli, Sanjana and Hardik Makkar won 3 medals each as the Indian badminton contingent ended its campaign at the Asian Youth Para Games in Bahrain with 16 medals (4 gold medals, 7 silver medals, 5 bronze medals). Indian Para players won four gold medals, seven silver medals and five bronze medals at Rifa City.

Nitya Shree and Sanjana won women’s singles gold medal in SH6 and SL3 classification respectively while Palak and Sanjana won gold medal in women’s doubles (SL3-SU5). Nehal Gupta and Abhijit Sakhuja topped the men’s doubles (SL3-SL4).

Nitya Shree and Adits Kulkarni in mixed doubles SH6, Jyothi in women’s singles SL4, Naveen S in men’s singles SL4, Hardik Makkar in men’s singles SU5, Karan Paneer and Ruthik Raghupati in men’s doubles SU5 and Hardik and Sanjana in mixed Won silver medals in doubles SL3-SU5.

The bronze medalists included Palak Kohli (Women’s Singles AC 5), Palak and Nehal (Mixed Doubles SL3-SU5), Navij S and Makkar (Men’s Doubles SU5) and Aditya Kulkarni (Men’s Singles SH6).

More than 700 players from around 30 countries took part in this top continental youth competition. The association congratulated the players who won the award.
