Sources said that a suggestion had also come to the fore at the higher level that 100 days of leave should be arranged in a year for the jawans leading a life of hard duty. So that they can spend time with their family. Sources said, despite several suggestions at the higher level, it could not be carried forward internally citing low strength of personnel and paucity of additional battalions.
