According to the Army, the ratio of honorary commission to honorary lieutenant and honorary captain was 12:1000 since 1984. Now it has been reduced to 15:1000 based on the ratio of vacancies. This will provide more opportunities to the Junior Commissioned Officers to become Honorary Commissioned Officers before their retirement.
