The Indian Navy’s Long RangeMaritime Reconnaissance aircraft Ilyushin 38SD successfully fired Combat Kh35E hostile to transport rockets during the ongoing theatre level Readiness and Operational Exercise 2021(TROPEX-21), a defence official said here on Tuesday.
The Combat Kh35E rockets dispatched from the aircraft successfully hit and sank the object on January 31, it said.
”This reaffirms the Indian Navy’s capacity to carryout long reach sea strikes in the Indian Ocean Region, acapability that is integral to meeting operational challengesand guaranteeing safe oceans, secure coasts,” it said.
TROPEX 21 is pointed toward testing battle availability of theNavy alongside the resources of the Air Force, Army and CoastGuard in a ”complex multi-dimensional exercise set in thecontext of the current geo-vital climate”,
