JAG 28 Merit List : There is big news for Judge Advocate General (JAG 28) candidates. The Indian Army has released the JAG 28 Merit List for both men and women’s courses starting in April 2022 at OTA Chennai. The SSB interview board recommends a total of 07 candidates for the JAG-28 Men course. The SSB interview board has recommended 11 female candidates for the JAG-28 women’s course.

JAG Selection Process
Judge Advocate General is a unique entry for law graduates; there is no written exam and candidates are selected for the SSB interview based on their graduation performance.
Shortlisting of Applications. Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) reserves the right for shortlisting of applications, without assigning any reason. After shortlisting of applications, the Centre allotment will be intimated to candidates via their email approx. 2-3 weeks after the last day of application.
After allotment of Selection Centre, candidates will have to log in to the website and select their SSB dates which are available on a first-come-first-serve basis, up to a specified date, as notified on the website.
Candidates will be put through a two-stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail on stage I will be returned on the same day. Duration of SSB interviews is five days.
Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit, will be issued a joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria
NOTE – According to the Indian army’s official website, joining letters will be issued to candidates based on their order of merit and available positions.
