Psychological Tests are conducted by SSB under stage II testing of SSB, Psychological test being conducted to screen in the candidates means candidates who have cleared Stage I testing.
PPDT and TAT
The preparation for PPDT and TAT is very simple. For practice you have carry one note book (Stop watch, mobiles having stop watch is enough) you can see many activities around you choose any of them and start writing stories on any topic. Try to write story within 3 and half minutes.
Points before writing a story:-
- Whether the story is positive.
- Whether the story has past present and future.
- Whether the story has link with the shown picture.
SRT (Situation Reaction Test)
This test is the most important test in SSB Interview, never do any solution which is beyond you capability to answer afterword, always be natural in your SRT and put yourself in a situation to get your right reaction.
The SRT needs basic preparation like what you see and how you react for example if you reading a newspaper and you find any news of accident then try to put yourself in that situation so that when you will feel the news by heart then you can able to answer well and correct.
Word Association Test (WAT)
This test require self practice ask someone to show you words for 15 seconds you can us MS PowerPoint , you have to kept in mind that your sentence doesn’t have words like I, me, should, could etc. Your reaction should be natural and you should write only those which comes first in your mind.
Self Description Test
This test conducted to know the candidate for self analysing capability, for practicing this test you should take help from your parents, friends what they think about you what qualities do you have after that you will summarise their point and analyse your weak as well strong aspects so that when you will face self description test you should be well confident about sharing your inner qualities and you should be confident enough so that any cross question by the interviewers you should be ready to answer them in a positive way.
