Amid the pandemic, UPSC conducted the NDA 1 & 2 exams with certain guidelines that were necessary to follow by the exam centers. Since the exams were previously postponed, when compared, this year’s NDA 1 & 2 question’s difficulty was quite moderate and almost easy to say.

Below given is the detailed NDA Question Paper Analysis for Mathematics and GAT. In other words, both Paper 1 and 2.

From the above NDA Question Paper Analysis, we can say that the paper’s overall focus was on grammar and spotting the error. The rest of the paper left was comprised of 400 marks (100 Questions). Following is the breakdown of each subject with the number of questions:

  • Physics – 26
  • Chemistry – 18
  • Bio – 18
  • History – 12
  • Geography – 12
  • Polity – 4
  • Current Affairs – 10

The topic Light in Physics had the most number of questions (10) along with Electricity (6), Magnetism (3), Modern Physics (3), Mechanics (2), and Waves (2). All questions were conceptual related, and few of them were numerical.

The numerically based questions could be quickly solved via formula. For instance, those students who revised the formulas thoroughly in Physics can score well in this Section.

Like Physics, Chemistry and Biology paper had questions that were previously asked in the NDA exam. So, repeated questions were a good part of this paper in the Science Section. Also, Most of them were from the NCERT 9th & 10th class textbooks.

Modern history & the Revolt of 1857 were the hot topics in the History Section, which meant that students need to have a basic understanding of the major revolts that happened during the time.

Like every year, The Constitution and Basic Knowledge of the Parliamentary System were the Polity’s key topics.

In conclusion, the questions of Paper 2 were quite easy. In other words, to clear GK and Current Affairs, a student should be observant of the current happenings. Again, aspiring/future candidates must note daily current happenings that they can get from our Youtube Channel.

We feel proud that the topics that we’ve covered on our videos were asked in the exam.
