NDA/NA examination is the biggest opportunity among the candidates who want to join Indian Armed Forces. It is conducted for the recruitment of commissioned officers in Indian Navy, Indian Army and Indian Air Force. The exam has three stages to qualify i.e. Written examination, SSB interviews and Medical examination.
NDA/NA i.e. the examination for National Defence Academy and Naval Academy is conducted twice a year by UPSC. The NDA/NA 2 examination for NDA 144th course and NA 106th course , of year 2019 was held on 17th November 2019. For NDA 2 2019 UPSC has released total 415 vacancies out of which 208 was for Army, 42 For Navy, 120 for Air Force and the rest i.e. 45 was for Naval Academy.
Around 4 lakh students apply for NDA examination every year out of which only 6000 makes it to the SSB interview phase. Same as latter, lakhs of students applied for the NDA 2 2019 examination in a hope to become officer in Indian armed Forces.
Usually UPSC releases the result for NDA examination in 120 days, but for the first time in history of UPSC it is released in just 25 days. The result for NDA 2 2019 was declared on December 12 2019.
The candidates who have appeared in the NDA 2 2019 examination can check their results at the official website of UPSC i.e. upsc.gov.in.

- Click on UPSC NDA/NA II Result 2019link available on the home page.
- A new PDF page will open where candidates can check their result.

The candidates who will qualify the written examination of NDA will have to appear for interview by the Services Selection Board i.e. SSB Interview of the Ministry of Defence for Admission to Army, Navy and Air Force Wings. Qualifying SSB will lead them to the next phase i.e. Medical Examination. The final selected candidates will get admission to the four years course of National Defence Academy. The batch course for NDA 2 2019 exam will commence from July 2, 2020.
