India Before Independence had 10 Gorkha Regiments and at the time Of Independence When We Got Freedom , British Indian Government Divided these 10 Regiments into following:-
6 Regiments went to Indian Army
4 Regiments went to British Army
It was Decided between the Three Countries that Recruitment’s in future will take place so that India’s 6 Regiments are to its fullest and UK’s 4 Regiments are to fullest and an Agreement was signed which was known as Tripartite Agreement also known as Tri Party Agreement
