Ways to Join Officers Training Academy:

- Through the Combined Defense Services Examination (CDSE): The CDSE is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to select candidates for the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA), and Officers Training Academy (OTA). Candidates who qualify for the CDSE written examination will be called for an interview by the Service Selection Board (SSB). Candidates who clear the SSB interview and medical examination will be eligible for training at OTA.
- Direct Entry: The Indian Army also conducts direct entry for eligible candidates who meet the eligibility criteria. The direct entry is available for SSC (Technical), SSC (Non-Technical), and SSC (Women). Candidates who apply for direct entry will be shortlisted based on their academic performance and other criteria. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the SSB interview and medical examination. Candidates who clear the SSB interview and medical examination will be eligible for training at OTA.

Training At OTA After Selection
