Indian Army Provides Equal Opportunities For Other Ranks To Become a Class 1 Commissioned Officer .The Entries Through which An Army Jawan can become an Officer are known as Service Entries.
Types of Service Entries in Indian Armed Forces
There are 3 Service Entries:-
- ACC – Army Cadet College
- SCO – Special Commissioned Officer Entry
- PC(SL) – Permanent Commission Special List

Eligibility Criteria For PC(SL) Entry in Indian Army
- Age Limit-Upto 42 yrs age
- Minimum Service Required is 10 Years
- Minimum 10+2 Pass
- Form Is Notified once a year in month of April and July in Unit
- No Of Seats are 100
- No Written Exam -Direct SSB
Age Limit For PC(SL)
Age Limit For PC(SL) is Max 42 yrs however in case the Jawan is From Engineers-Age is Extend able upto 45 yrs
Marital Status for PC(SL)
Married/Unmarried both can apply
Training and Commission
After The Candidate is Recommended He will undergo training at AEC Panchmari followed by 4 weeks Training at IMA. Commission Offered is Permanent Commission
Selection Procedure For PC(SL) Entry in Indian Army
PC(SL) Notification Comes in month of July in the Unit.Post Filling it Candidates will Face SSB Interview.In Frb 2022 Indian Army took a decision where in Screening was removed from SSB Procedure for PC SL Entry.PC(SL) Aspirants now wont have to Face Stage 1 Testing of SSB Interviews.To Recollect We would like to Tell You that SSB Interviews is of 5 Days divided into 2 Stages:-
Stage 1- Screening-70% Of Candidates are Screened Out on The Very First Day .Screening involves OIRT and PPDT Test.
Stage 2- Psychological Test,GTO Test and Personal Interview,Confrence which is Spread over 4 Days
SSB Interview forPC(SL) Entry is SPread over June to September For July Batch. Fresh Joining Is in July at AEC Pachmarhi.
