The NCC Special Entry is a program that helps young people develop the leadership, communication, and other skills they need to become an officer in the Indian Army. . If you join the Indian Army through this entry, you will join as a Short Service Commission officer. For this entry, you must have an NCC ‘C’ certificate, and it is necessary to pass with a minimum B grade in the NCC ‘C’ certificate. Another requirement is to be unmarried, and your age limit should be between 19 to 25.

Now, let’s talk about the education qualification. First, you need to complete graduation with a minimum of 50% marks, and secondly, you should have to serve in NCC Senior Wing for two or three years. After education qualification,

Let’s talk about the selection process. As mentioned earlier, there is no written exam for this entry. Shortlisted candidates are called for SSB interview. If you clear all stages of the SSB interview, where your physical and mental abilities are tested, then you will be sent for a medical examination.

Let me tell you, the medical examination for every Indian Army officer is the same. No exemptions are given in this.

After being declared medically fit, your final merit list will be released. If your name is in the final merit list, then you will be sent to OTA for 49 weeks of training. After completing the 49 weeks of training, you will be commissioned into the Indian Army as a Short Service Commission officer. You will serve as a Lieutenant for six months because you have joined through direct entry. And one more thing, through NCC direct entry, you become a Short Service Commission officer, whose initial tenure is 10 years. After 10 years, you can also extend it for another 4 years. And after 14 years, you can apply to become a Permanent Commission officer. This is another topic.
