What Is Air Force Phase 2 Exam ? : Indian Air Force conducts STAR Exam for Air Force X & Y Group. It conducts the exam for group ‘X’ trades (except education instructor trade) and group ‘Y’ trades (except auto mobile technician, Indian air force (police), Indian air force (security) and musician trades).
All the candidates who successfully registered will first have to give the Phase 1 (Star 1) written examination which will be held in online mode.
Shortlisted candidates will then proceed for the Air Force Phase II exam and only after clearing it out, you will be eligible for Phase III examination.
Air Force Phase 2 Exam Pattern
What Is Air Force Phase 2 : Air Force X&Y Group ( Phase II Exam) is conducted for the shortlisted candidates who have successfully cleared the Phase-I online written examination.
Phase-II examination is conducted at Airmen Selection Centre, IAF (Indian Air Force).
Phase-II examination is a Physical Fitness Test (PFT) which determines as to whether the candidate is physically fit or not.
Note- Phase 2 and Phase 3 Exam is the same for the X & Y Group Candidates.
Air Force Star 2 (Phase-II) Exam is held along with Adaptability Test-1 & Adaptability Test-2.
Star II Exam is held for the Group X (Excluding Education Instructor Trade) and Group Y trades (except Auto, Tech, IAF (P) & (S), and Musician Trades)
Highlights Of Air Force Phase II Exam
- 6 Km Run In 210 Seconds (1 min 30 seconds)
- 20 Squat Ups (Uthak Baithak)
- 10 Sit-Ups
- 10 Push-Ups
NOTE- PFT (Physical Will Be Qualifying Only Exam). There is no marks assignment for PFT. Candidates have to qualify for this exam only. Successful candidates will proceed for the final test – Phase III Exam.
Air Force Star 1- Phase-II Adaptability Test-1
All the qualifying candidates of PFT (Physical Fitness Test) shall have to undertake Adaptability Test-1. It is primarily a Situation Reaction test where an objective type written test will be there.
There will be a total of 45 SRT (Situation Reaction Tests) which a candidate has to complete within 30 minutes plus a newly introduced DFT (Dynamic Factor Test) is conducted which contains 20 questions related to basic grammar and the candidate has to complete it within 15 minutes.
All candidates who will pass Adaptability Test-1 will need to undertake Adaptability Test 2 which may be a GD (Group Discussion) type test. The objective of this test to figure out whether candidates can adapt to the environment of the Indian Air Force and are suitable for military living way or not.
After clearing out Phase-II (Star 2 Exam) shortlisted candidates are allowed green cards with the dates and venue of the Phase-III medical examination.
