Indian Navy Changes its Ensign
Every Armed Forces has its own Ensign which is visible on the Flag.After Constitution Of India Was Formed and Implemented Each Tri Services Came up with its own Flag.
Indian Navy was no Exception to it.
At the Time Of Independence,Indian Navy Ensign was George’s Cross along with UK Flag Imbibed on it but soon on 26 Jan 1950 After Independence and after constitution was Implemented,Naval Ensign was changed and The UK Flag on Georges Cross Was Replaced with Indian Flag.
In 2001 Again Indian Navy Changed its Ensign and Georges Cross Was Removed with Navy Seal also known as Naval Crest.
Year 2004 Again Changes was made in Navy Ensign ,Naval Crest was removed and replaced by Georges Cross along with Ashok Stambh on it.The Ensign was followed till 10 yrs and in 2014 again the Ensign was changed and this time Satyamev Jayate was written along with Ashok Stambh
Year 2022 Again NavyEnsign was changed by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. This Time Georges Cross is completely removed eradicating Colonial History
