Many Candidates have doubts related to Eyes Standards specially When It Comes To Indian Air Force. In this Blog We will talk about the Eyes Standards Required To Join Different Branches of Indian Air Force,Army and Navy

Let’s First Talk About  Flying Branch

Flying Branch Includes Pilots who have to be very Precise ,Very Quick and Always on the Target hence  there is no relaxation for Myopia(Short Sightness)Whereas, for Hypermetropia(Far Vision) there is a relaxation for +2.0 Diopter ,  that means if you are applying for Flying Branch then the  power of the lens must not be greater than + 2.0 D.

If we talk about Visual acuity that means Sharpness of Vision then it must be 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other. Correctable by 6/6 only for hypermetropia. Where for Air crew other than Pilots for hypermetropia the range is extend to upto + 3.5 D and for myopia the maximum limit is -2.0 D.
