Operation is going on on the Line of Control (LoC) between India and Pakistan in Machil Sector located in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. It has been learned from army sources that a captain and two soldiers have been killed in the encounter in Machil with the terrorists trying to infiltrate. Security forces have killed three terrorists so far. Actually some terrorists from across the border were trying to infiltrate. However, the security forces stopped them.
In a statement issued by BSF, it was told that at around 1 pm on November 7 and 8, the 169th Battalion saw some movement of infiltrators near the Line of Control in Machil sector during patrolling. When they tried to stop the intruders, they started firing. BSF jawans gave a befitting reply to this and killed three terrorists so far. It was told in the statement that one terrorist got killed on the spot with BSF bullets, while the other terrorists managed to hide in the hills there.
In such a situation, firing started from Pakistani posts at the same time to help the terrorists. BSF jawan Sudeep Kumar was shot in this firing. Referring to Sudeep’s bravery, the BSF said that Sudeep continued fighting despite being injured, regardless of his life and during this time he became a martyr. Meanwhile, army personnel also reached there for help and started searching the surrounding areas. An AK-47 rifle, two bags have been recovered from the terrorists.
