STF has arrested a youth who claimed to be a fake army officer from Banjarawala area of Patelnagar, Dehradun. The youth is Sachin Awasthi, a resident of Fatehpur, UP. Who cheats in the name of recruiting youth by pretending to be a lieutenant in the army. A case has been registered against him in Patelnagar.
SSP STF Ajay Singh said that action was taken on the information received from the sources. In Banjarawala, a youth was arrested from a room on Kargi Road by pretending to be a fake lieutenant in the army. Who used to wear a fake star fitted uniform and made an I-card and roamed in the sensitive areas of Dehradun and surrounding areas. Showing the beauty of his dress, he used to lure the youth to enlist in the army. There have been reports of cheating from many people.
Two lakh rupees being taken from a person for recruitment to the post of military has come to light. The youth used to deposit money in their PNB, SBI accounts. He has cheated most of the youth of UP itself. The details of the accounts are being verified. Youth Sachin Awasthi son Rajendra Awasthi resident of Abu Nagar GT Road Fatehpur. A case has been registered against him in Patelnagar under serious sections.
