A bloody war is going on against Azerbaijan and Armenia. Russia said on Monday that one of its military helicopters was shot down in Armenia near the border with Azerbaijan, killing two soldiers. The incident occurred near Nakhchivan’s border with Azerbaijan.
Armenia and Azerbaijan troops have been fighting for the last month and a half on the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, which is within Azerbaijan but has been under the control of ethnic Armenians since 1994. Nakhchivan is about 70 kilometres (40 mi) from Nagorno-Karabakh and it is not yet clear whether the helicopter was involved in a firing conflict.
