Jammu: Four jawans injured as grenade explodes near border

Four jawans, including a constable, were injured when a grenade exploded near the border in Nowshera Sector Kek Kalsia of Rajouri. In view of the critical condition of one of the injured, he has been referred to the Command Hospital, Udhampur, while the other three were taken to 150 Army Generals for treatment. He has been admitted to the hospital, where he is being treated. The army has started the investigation of this incident at its level, while the police has also started further action after registering the case.

According to the information, four army personnel were seriously injured in a grenade blast when they were doing weapons clearance work near the Line of Control. During this, the hand grenade exploded with a loud bang. In which Havildar Ram Singh, Naik Daljit Singh, constable Akash Singh and constable Gagandeep Singh were seriously injured. All the injured were immediately brought to the Army Nowshahra Hospital for treatment. In view of the serious condition of Havildar Ram Singh, he was referred to the Command Hospital, Udhampur, where all are being treated.

The grenade exploded while cleaning the weapons and it is believed to be an accident. After hearing the sound of the grenade exploded, army officers and jawans also reached the spot. They immediately rushed the injured to the nearest military hospital from where the seriously injured jawan was referred to the Command Hospital, Udhampur. There was chaos in the area for some time but everyone heaved a sigh of relief after the situation became clear. Army has also started an investigation into this matter.
