Now the Nirbhay Cruise Missile will also be ready soon to get rid of the enemy’s sixes through the sky. On Wednesday, the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) successfully test-fired this powerful missile.
The biggest thing in this is that its booster engine has been made in India itself. It is capable of hitting the enemy’s hideout up to a distance of 1500 km. However, during the test, this missile came down after a distance of 100 km and after being in the sky for about 15 minutes. This is being told due to technical flaw. But the test of Nirbhay missile was partially successful.
The Nirbhay sub sonic cruise missile was launched on Wednesday at 9:55 am from the Chandipur test center in Odisha. DRDO sources say that the indigenous engine test was successful but due to some technical snag in the delivery platform, the missile came down.

The reason for this may be some fault in the controller. But the engine has done a better job. According to him, now before the user trials of the Indian Air Force and Navy, its next test will be done in mission mode.
Earlier its test failed in October 2020. Then this missile came down after being in the sky for 8 minutes. The speed of Nirbhay missile ranges from 0.7 to 0.9 Mach. Meaning it can cover a distance in the sky at a speed of more than 1111 km per hour. It is also capable of evading enemy radar.
Nirbhay cruise missile can carry 300 kg warhead up to 1500 km distance. It can fly from 50 meters to 4 km above the ground. Its aim is accurate. It can be fired from sea, land and mobile launcher.
