Sainikesh Ravichandran, 21, who hails from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, will now be seen taking on Russia. He joined the Ukrainian army after the start of the war. Sainikesh’s parents were not even aware of this. When he came to know about this, his senses were also blown away.
Actually, Sainikesh Ravichandran had gone to Ukraine in 2018 in connection with his studies. He was studying at the National Aerospace University in Kharkiv. His studies were to be completed in July 2022, but before that Russia invaded Ukraine and everything went awry.
According to media reports, after Russia’s attack on Ukraine, Sainikesh’s contact with his house was completely lost. Here, the Indian government launched Operation Ganga to evacuate Indians from Ukraine, but without getting any information about Sainesh, his parents contacted the Indian Embassy in Ukraine. When embassy officials found out, it came to light that Sainikesh has now become part of the Ukrainian army. He told that he had joined the Ukrainian army to fight the war against Russia.
During this, Sainikesh’s parents told that, he already wanted to join the army. He also applied to join the Indian Army, but that application was rejected.
