Former India batsman Rahul Dravid has been decided by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as the next head coach of Team India. According to media reports, it is being told that Rahul Dravid has agreed to take over as the head coach of Team India.
For a long time, it was being emphasized that who would become the next coach of India after Ravi Shastri, but now the BCCI has made it clear. Rahul Dravid will become the coach of Team India after the T20 World Cup. Rahul Dravid’s contract will be first till 2023.
According to the report, Rahul Dravid has agreed to become the coach of Team India. Actually, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jay Shah, who arrived in Dubai for the final of IPL 2021, met Rahul Dravid. Both had requested Rahul Dravid to become the head coach of the Indian team and he has agreed to it.
According to the report, Rahul Dravid has been given a two-year contract. That is, this agreement will last till the year 2023 World Cup. He will get Rs 10 crore as salary. He was reappointed as the NCA chief only last month. But BCCI needed a strong candidate to take Indian cricket forward.
