On 05 November 2020 in Haryana Vidhan Sabha, the bill for providing 75 percent reservation to local people in private sector jobs was passed. In this bill, there is a provision to give 75 percent reservation to local people in jobs with less than Rs. 50 thousand per month of the state.
With this, a major election promise of Jananayak Janata Party, the constituent of the ruling coalition in the state, was fulfilled. This bill will become law after getting approval from the Governor. This decision has been approved by the BJP and JJP coalition government in the assembly.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said in the Assembly that the main objective of bringing the Employment Bill -2020 of the local candidates of Haryana State is to provide maximum employment to the youth of the state. This will ensure 75 percent share of Haryana’s youth in the private sector.
• After passing this reservation bill in Haryana, now about two and a half lakh youths will get jobs in the first phase.
• Jannayak Janata Party, the regional party of Haryana, had talked about providing 75 percent reservation in private jobs to the people here before the state assembly elections.
• After this promise of Dushyant Chautala, for a long time the JJP was continuously raising this issue in the alliance. Now the Haryana government has cleared the decision and cleared the way for reservation.
Local youth of Haryana are said to be benefiting from this.
Companies that do not comply with the law will be processed under the provisions of this bill. Penalties and subsidies can be canceled in this. This law will remain in force for the next 10 years.
This bill of Haryana Government will be applicable only up to a monthly salary of Rs. 50 thousand. This will not affect the people with more salary. To take advantage of this, it will be necessary to have a residence certificate of Haryana. Also, the qualification related to the post for which he is applying will also have to be fulfilled.
