A massive operation was launched by the Indian Army and IAF,but it was extremely difficult to locate the buried soldiers, their chance of survival was low due to extreme climate in Siachen
While the nine of the solders couldn’t survive, it was Lance Naik Hanamanthappa Koppad, who was found allive, his condition was critical, but he survived.

While the rescue team were looking for the soldiers, they stumbled open Hanamanthappa buried under snow, he was breathing.
