The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has temporarily banned the issuance of new visas for visitors from Pakistan and 11 other countries. There is no India in these 12 countries. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has confirmed this on 18 November 2020.
It was informed by the Ministry that this decision has been taken in view of the second wave of Coronavirus infection. Pakistan Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zahid Hafiz Chaudhary said- We have come to know that UAE has decided to suspend travel visas for 12 countries including Pakistan till further orders.
In addition to Pakistan, the UAE government has suspended the issuance of travel visas to people from Turkey, Iran, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Somalia, Libya, Kenya, and Afghanistan. This decision by the UAE government has brought about the growing Kovid-19 cases in Pakistan.

Earlier, in June, the UAE announced a temporary suspension of passenger services in view of the growing cases of corona in Pakistan. So far, a total of 3,63,380 cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Pakistan. Currently, the number of active cases in the country is 30,362.
