Indian Navy conducts Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR) – Group exam for Technical Stream twice a year. Through this exam candidates are selected for Indian Navy and the Indian Navy as Sailor.
Eligibility Criteria:-
Nationality- Indian
Form Filling Age – 17 years to 21 years.
Height Limit – 157 cm
Marital status – Unmarried
Education Criteria – Candidate can apply in navy only after clearing 10+2
exam. No minimum marks required for SSR Group but
should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry &
Maths
FORM NOTIFICATION:-
Indian Navy conducts Indian Navy SSR exam twice a year i.e. February and September. Availability of forms is made online in the month of December and July for exams conducted in the month of February & September respectively. In the year 2020, CDS exam which is going to happen in November, forms will be available in first week of August.
SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR INDIAN NAVY AA EXAM
Stage 1:- Written Exam:- It is an online exam. In this exam students are
given 60 minutes to answer 100 questions of 100
marks related to English, Maths, G.S (Physics,
Chemistry, Biology), GK (History, Polity,
Geography).
Stage 2:- Physical Fitness Test:- This is the second step in becoming a
sailor in Indian Navy. In this test student
have to complete a 1.6 Km run in 7
Mintues, 10 push – ups, 20 squats & 20
sit – ups.
Stage 3 :- Medical Exam:- This is the third and the final stage in Indian
Navy AA exam. In this step candidates are
checked by the medical officers of the Indian
Navy to check that
- Candidate have proportionate chest with minimum expansion capability of 05 cms.
- Candidate should possess good mental and physical health, should be free from any disease/ disability and have no cardio-vascular disease, surgical deformities like Knock-Knees, Flat-Foot.
- Candidate should not have a past history of fits or psychiatric ailments, Varicose-veins etc.
- He should not have any type of infection in the ears.
- Candidates are advised to get their ears cleaned for wax and tartar removed from teeth before appearing for the written test, which is followed by PFT and Medical examination.
- Candidate should not be a patient of blood pressure, diabetes, etc.
