The awaiting students aspiring to be a sailor in Indian Navy must be glad to know that Indian Navy has released the notification for AA/SSR i.e. Sailor recruitment 2020. The notification has been released on 5^th November 2019 for 2700 vacant posts. Here we are providing the details regarding the notification for the recruitment of sailor in Indian Navy.

For Senior Secondary Recruit i.e. SSR – 2200

For Artificial Apprentice i.e. AA – 500

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Age – 16.5 yrs – 19.5 yrs (between 01 August 2000 to 31^st July 2003.)

Height– 157 Cm

Required Qualification for Navy AA/SSR 2020

AA – 10+2 i.e. Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics with One of the Following Subject Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science.

SSR – Intermediate Examination with 60% Aggregate Marks and Mathematics, Physics with One of the Following Subject Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science.

SELECTION PROCESS FOR NAVY SAILOR RECRUITMENT 2020

The selection of the recruits will be based on the Merit list made on the basis of their performance in online examination, Physical Fitness test (PFT) and Medical examinations.

For SSR the prepared merit list will be an All India Merit list and For AA there will be state-wise Merit list.

ONLINE EXAMINATION:

• AA and SSR will have a common paper of one hour duration. Given below are teh details:
• The examination will be computer-based with a total of 100 questions, each carrying 01 mark each.
• The question paper will be bilingual i.e. in Hindi & English and objective type.
• The question paper will comprise of four sections i.e. English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge.

• The candidates are required to pass in all sections and in aggregate.
• There will be a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer.

PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST:

• Only qualifying students will be able to get to the final phase of the examination i.e. Medical examination.
• Candidates need to do the following tasks.
• Running:6 Km Completed in 07 Minutes.
• Squat Ups i.e. Uthak Baithak :20 Times
• Push Ups :10 Times

• Register yourself on joinindiannavy.gov.in  with your e-mail ID, if not registered already. The Applicants must ensure that while filling their Application Form, they are providing their valid i.e. active email IDs and mobile numbers, which should not be changed till selection procedure is over.

• Click on “Apply” button
• Fill up the Form completely. Before clicking the “Submit‟ button make sure all the details are correct,hence upload all the original scanned documents.
