Ø Today Sainik School along with RIMC and RMS (Rashtriya Indian Military School) contribute to 30% officers in NDA and INA

Why Sainik School was set up?
It is Important to Understand why Sainik Schools Were Set Up.During the Era of British Ruled India,Britishers Wanted to Improve the Quality Of Education as Many Britishers Families too shifted along with Officers .To improve the Quality Of Education so that Future Class Military Officers can be made up of Schools-RIMC and RMS were set up thus On similar Grounds Sainik School was set up
First Sainik School – First Sainik School was set up in Lucknow in 1961
Curriculum followed – CBSE
Admission – Class 6th, Class 9th
Reservation – SC/ST, Domicile of State, Words of Armed Forces Employee, Ex- Serviceman.
Objectives of Sainik School –
