Air Force Common Admission Test also known as AFCAT Entry is a gateway to become a Commissioned Officer in Indian Armed Forces.To remind you AFCAT Entry is For Those who are Graduates with minimum 60%.The Age For AFCAT Exam is between 20-24 yrs.With the Latest AFCAT Notification out in Dec 2022 Following are the Major Changes in AFCAT Entry :-
1. Introduction of New Branch in AFCAT Entry
AFCAT previously had :-
1.Flying Branch
2.Ground Duty Technical
3.Ground Duty Non Technical
Where as Now AFCAT Entry will have:
1.Flying Branch
2.Ground Duty Technical
3.Ground Duty Non Technical
4.Weapon System Branch-New Branch Introduced
2. Removal Of EKT From AFCAT Entry
Air Force Common Admission Test has removed EKT From AFCAT 1 2023 Onwards.To Remind You EKT stands for Engineering KnowledgeTest and was introduced for all those who wanted to become a Technical Officer in Indian Air Force however with AFCAT 1 2023 Onwards No more OF EKT Test.
3. Permanent Commission Ends with AFCAT 1 2023
Air Force Common Admission Test has removed Permanent Commission.This would sound very very astonishing but YES AFCAT has Removed Permanent Commission hence forth which means No more Permanent COmmission in AFCAT 2023 Onwards
4. Meteorology Branch merges with Ground Duty Non Technical Branch
There is no separate Branch known as Meteorology Branch now.Thus all the Aspirants who wait for Meteorology branch will now need to apply through AFCAT Entry only through AFCAT non Technical Branch.Thus Non Technical Branch will now have:-
1.Administration
2.Accounts
3.Logistics
4.Education
5.Meteorology
