Interview is the most crucial part of SSB and it plays the vital role in selection. It is interview mainly where it is decided whether you had make up or not. The IO takes the interview in different ways for each candidate for some it is basic and for others it is twisted.
It mostly takes one minute maximum but if it takes longer like 5 minutes then it is most likely the doubtful case. Questions that are mostly asked in SSB Interview are very basic and requires truth only just the way you answer them matters.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO JOIN THE DEFENCE FORCE?
This can be the very first question that you will be asked. If you are just 12th passed or a repeater then just say it is your passion your dream and from childhood you had been dreaming about it. If you are a graduate then don’t say this they will immediately ask you what you were doing then after 12th why you didn’t applied that time. Say you just want to serve your country. This is the highest level of patriotism if you can get a chance of serving your country.
WHAT IF YOU ARE NOT SELECTED THIS TIME?
Well for this just stay calm and do not start to cry or get nervous. This might be a counter for you to see how you react just say “No problem you will try again next year” this will really give them a positive vibe for you.
DO YOU HAVE A GF/BF?
Say NO and if you really have a dream for your nation then do not get into this relationship before getting into defence force. Naturally if you are in relationship you will get distracted a lot from your target. Say your first aim is to join defence force and till now I haven’t found any with whom I am compatible and family also accept it.
WHAT IS MARRIAGE TO YOU?
Don’t say marriage is nothing to me. You are grown up if you are a graduate and if 12th passed then too in some years you will be mature enough.
They are not fool sitting taking interview they all are senior officers and know how young people think. They had been in this age once so you cannot fool them.
Say you believe in marriage and whether be it love or arrange family should accept it. Your initial goal was to join defence that is why you didn’t thought about it.
Questions asked are normal and related to your life, experience, experience in the 5 day stay there, etc. Do not try to look over smart just be confident and yourself. You will be able to perform best of you.
