Indian Army has got great success in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir and security forces have killed 2 terrorists. Giving information, an officer of Jammu and Kashmir Police said that in the joint action of Indian Army and Police, two terrorists have been killed in Amshipora area of Shopian district.
According to a police official, based on intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in Amshipora area of Shopian district in south Kashmir, security forces cordoned off and launched a search operation there. After this the terrorists started firing on the security forces, after which the soldiers also retaliated and killed 2 terrorists. Efforts are on to gather information about the identity of the slain terrorists and their group.
Giving information, the Jammu and Kashmir Police said that incriminating material including arms and ammunition has been recovered from the terrorists. According to the police officer, the encounter is still going on and the search operation of police and army personnel is still going on.
Earlier on Saturday, there was an encounter between the police and the terrorists in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir. In the encounter, Indian security forces had killed a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist, but two brave soldiers of India were also martyred.
