India’s efforts are on to become self-reliant in the field of education. Domestic production in the defense sector has got a boost due to the testing of missiles and other weapons made one country after the other in the beginning of December. With the successful testing of these military weapons, the Air Force, Navy and the Indian Army have been equipped with state-of-the-art defense equipment.

On 7 December, India successfully test-fired VL-SRSAM, a short-range surface-to-air missile. This missile can hit its target 15 km away. The Defense Research and Development Organization has prepared this missile for the warship of the Indian Navy. The first test of this missile was done in February. According to reports, this missile is capable of shooting down enemy weapons visible in the air. The Defense Ministry says that the induction of this missile in the Navy’s fleet will increase the defense capability of the Navy and will help in dealing with any challenge.
On 8 December, the Defense Ministry said that the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile has been test-fired again in Chandipur. This missile has been developed under a joint venture between India and Russia. Loaded into Sukhoi-30 MK-I fighter jet, this supersonic missile was launched and this missile managed to fulfill all its targets and objectives.
