IMA Dehradun Passing Out Parade 2021 : The Passing Out Parade of the Indian Military Academy (IMA) will be held at the same time. As reviewing officer, President Ram Nath Kovind will take the salute of the Gentlemen Cadets. This time 387 Gentlemen Cadets are going to pass out from IMA, out of which 319 will join the Indian Army as officers. This time 68 Gentlemen Cadets from friendly countries will also pass out. On Thursday, the Gentlelane Cadets rehearsed for the POP to be held on Saturday.
IMA’s Public Relations Officer Lt Col Himani Pant said that no change has been made in the program of the passing out parade. President Ram Nath Kovind will review the passing out parade on Saturday. He told that the program of POP will be done with simplicity. In fact, after the death of CDS General Bipin Rawat on Wednesday, there was a possibility of a change in the scheduled program of POP. There was also discussion that the President’s visit might be cancelled.
There was no commandant parade on Thursday. But, after the meeting of military officers late in the evening, the public relations officer said that the POP program would be held on time. This time CDS General Bipin Rawat was also to be addressed in the POP. But, after his death in a helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu, it had to be dropped from the schedule. It was also informed that the state wise list of Gentlemen Cadets will be released on Friday.
