On the occasion of 20th Anniversary of ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’celebrated on 26 July many events have been planned by Army in Delhi and Jammu & Kashmir next month.
For this year the celebration will be continue for 3 days from July 25 to July 27.
An official said, “However, as part of the construction of the main program, there has been a plan to organize many activities across the country from the first week of July.”
The celebration commence on July 14 with the igis of “Victory Flame” from the National War Memorial which will travel across 11 towns and cities and finally end at Dras where the flame will conjoin with “Eternal Flame” at the ” Kargil War Memorial”.
The torch relay team will conduct academic and patriotic talks and interact with many personalities in schools . The event will be campaign by the people who were in Kargil War at super-high altitude locations such as Tololing, Tiger Hill, Pt 4875, and special national integration camp for NCC cadets hailing from various states and Union territories of the country. The event will last for 2 days in Leh. Essay and Drawing competitionswill be organised for the school childrens.
The event is planned to emboss the stories of braveness shows by our soldiers and relight the pride among youth of the country and inspiring kids or who were not even born to form part of nation resolve.
In Delhi, a ”Commemoration Ceremony” is being organised at the Manekshaw Centre, where a panel discussion with war veterans and serving officers will be organised.
The 20th anniversary of the victory is being celebrated with the theme ”Remember, Rejoice and Renew”, it said.
The campaigns will have several activities to stimulate the feelings of nationalism and patriotism, and to remember the sacrifices of our brave soldiers .
